Newly opened Delta Centre will accelerate innovation between academia and businesses.
The building is one of the most modern facilities for digital technologies in the Nordic countries and it brings together the Institute of Computer Science, Institute of Mathematics and Statistics, and the Faculty of Economics.
Around 3 000 students, lecturers, researchers and development employees from companies will be working in the new centre to make innovation happen.
The Delta Centre will also have an entrepreneurship building, to be opened in April.
This will connect the science and the talent to research-based businesses, such as Cybernetica, Swedbank, Statistics Estonia, machine learning and data science competence centre STACC, SEB Bank innovation centre, Business Incubation Centre of the European Space Agency and Tartu Science Park.
